PROMISE Community Building Video

This video highlights a key moment from the Sept. 2009 UMBC PROMISE Opening Meeting. PROMISE graduate students, postdocs, and faculty came together for a community building workshop with guest speaker, Dr. Derek Greenfield. Dr. Greenfield, an Assistant Professor at Shaw University and an adjunct faculty member at North Carolina State University, was recommended to PROMISE after one of our PROMISE Peer Mentors, Patti Ordonez Rozo, attended one of his workshops at MIT. Our workshop was a hit! This video represents a snapshot of the evening. For more about Dr. Greenfield, visit
