Bridge to the Doctorate Fellows and their PROMISE Peer Mentors at UMBC

The new cohort of Bridge to the Doctorate Fellows has been participating in their BD meetings and activities as well as some of the UMBC and PROMISE Tri-campus activities. The UMBC and UMCP Bridge to the Doctorate Students came together with their PROMISE Peer Mentors at the "When Faculty Say X, They Really Mean Y" Seminar on October 9, 2009.

The BD Fellows participate in PROMISE events with their Peer Mentors, but they have their own set of independent activities such as bi-monthly professional development lunches, summer development projects, and "proposal house" activities.

PROMISE Celebration of Grads, Celebration of Dr. Davis (PROMISE Founder)

In addition to the outdoor Community Building Retreats, PROMISE has a number of campus-based events. May 2, 2009, we celebrated our Academic Year 2008-2009 Master's and Ph.D. graduates! We also expressed appreciation for Dr. Johnetta G. Davis, Associate Dean at UM College Park and one of the Founders of PROMISE.
