First Saturday Session: Getting Started

Loading the wood, going on the trail

Preparing food out in the woods

Learning about Primitive Cooking

Celebration Dance

Looking at the owl and the vulture at the Aviary

Today, as we prepared for outdoor activities, our facilitators taught us a few things:
STOP!
  • S - Stop
  • T - Think
  • O - Observe
  • P - Plan

As we work together, we are putting into practice "Collaborative Leadership."

When we're thinking about survival skills, remember the 4 WORD PRIORITIZATION:

(In this order -- these are the things that you need to be concerned with to survive.)

  1. Shelter
  2. Water
  3. Fire
  4. Food

Not including the Dissertation House, there are 4 groups: The Lion Kings, The Kung Fu Tigers, The Polar Bears, and Hot Chili!
